Auld Reekie Moose Guides have over 20 years local experience. Our Moose hunting parties are limited to groups of four and we hunt lake shores, marshes, streams and rivers on Crown lands (government owned. Our guides prepare for each hunting season by quietly scouting their preferred locations, looking for sign. By the time you arrive, they know where your best Moose hunting success will be found. Our guides are experienced callers with expertise making bull Moose , cow Moose or calf Moose calls. Each day we hunt mornings and evenings departing from the lodge after a dawn breakfast. Moose hunting parties depart the lodge with their guide by boat or ATV depending on the area chosen for the hunt. Packed lunches are provided. Moose have a great capacity to hear an smell. Care is taken to move quietly on foot over the half mile of trail, moving up wind, to reach your Moose watch (location. As Moose calling is the most effective moose hunting strategy, you must be able to make your own calls. One guide is provided for each party of four unless prior arrangements are made. Your guide can provide Moose calling demonstrations and tips at the lodge.
