Mr. Tonks successfully hunted the most beautiful bear of the year.  The coat and v shape on the neck was perfect.  
-1st night of hunt - bait was hit, no sighting
-2nd night of hunt - bait was hit, no sighting
-3rd night of hunt - shot successfully a 235lb boar at 4:30pm.

We are proud of you Terry.  We are excited to see you again in 2008.

Fishing in our area is phenomonal.  Adults as well as Youths are staying entertained and focus throughout their day of fishing.  Catching one after the other.  Unbelievable.  So grab the kids and come on up for an old fashioned getaway at Auld Reekie Lodge.  Life is too short to wait any longer.

Check out their catch.  They caught all these fish in only 1 hour and a half's time.  Good going guys.

This was caught just yesterday(June 26th/07) in one of our back lakes.  It weighed in just over 4 lbs.  Hope everyone is enjoying their summer.  Take Care for now.

We would like to Welcome our new addition to the Lodge....OLD SMOKIE!
For those of you how are wondering what AULD REEKIE means....it is Scottish for OLD SMOKIE....so therefore we are now officially 'AULD REEKIE' thanks to our new addition.  Come feel the warmth she brings to your heart and our atmosphere.  

On Sunday, January 14th, 2007, we were out doing some ice fishing.  We also had a little fire and roasted some hot dogs and marshmellows with the kids.  The best part of the day was spending time with family and playing on the ice with our snowmachines.
Wishing you all could have joined us....maybe this coming weekend!

It has come the time to have our ice fisherman and our snowmobilers to book their 2007 winter fun with Auld Reekie Lodge.
We have 20 cm of snow and 8 inches of ice.  We are ready to accommodate you.

What a site!  Wish you all could see it with the naked eye.  Pictures just don't do it justice.  It has turn cold here at Auld Reekie and winter has arrived.  We would like every one of our guests, that we hosted this past summer, know that we enjoyed your presence and can't wait for your return.
